PH Website Builders ("we", "us", or "our") operates HuggsPOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the HuggsPOS application and website (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication), store name, store type, and preferred currency. Store owners who create employee sub-accounts provide employee names, emails, and PINs.

1.2 Business Data

As you use HuggsPOS, you enter business data including product/item information, categories, pricing, inventory records, sales transactions, customer names and contact details, and employee records. This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore and is associated with your account.

1.3 Payment Information

We do not directly collect or store credit card numbers or payment credentials. All payment processing for subscriptions is handled by our third-party payment processor, Paddle. Paddle collects and processes your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy. We receive transaction confirmations, subscription status, and customer identifiers from Paddle.

1.4 Automatically Collected Information

We may collect certain information automatically when you use the Service, including device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, and usage patterns (pages visited, features used). This information is collected through Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process transactions and manage your subscription
• Send you important notices about your account, such as billing confirmations and security alerts
• Respond to your support requests and inquiries
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the user experience
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit, automatic backups, and compliance with industry standards (SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001).

HuggsPOS supports offline operation through IndexedDB browser storage. Data stored locally on your device is synchronized with our cloud servers when internet connectivity is restored.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use Google Firebase (data hosting), Paddle (payment processing), and Google Analytics (usage analytics). These providers access your data only as needed to perform their functions and are bound by their own privacy commitments.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
• With Your Consent: We may share information with third parties when you explicitly authorize us to do so.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements).

Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

HuggsPOS is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in data centers outside the Philippines, including the United States (Google Firebase infrastructure). By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
